CALENDAR NOTICE: MARCUS BORG COMING TO BURLINGTON 21 OCTOBER

Best-selling author and Jesus scholar Marcus Borg will present “The Split Personality of Religion: Promoting Peace or Inciting Violence?” on Sunday, October 21 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at Champlain College Gymnasium. The author of Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time (1984) and The Heart of Christianity (2003), Dr. Borg will examine the ways in which religion has sometimes countered conflict, sometimes intensified conflict in the name of God.
