Vermont Gas Continues to Exploit Ratepayers to Finance Fossil Fuel Infrastructure Expansion
Are you a Vermont Gas customer and don't want to spend $122 million to expand fossil fuel infrastructure? This pipeline is being financed by the public - current Vermont Gas
ratepayers - but does not benefit the people of Vermont. Vermont Gas
continues to exploit ratepayers to finance fossil fuel infrastructure
expansion in the face of ever-growing economic and ecological crisis. A
$35.6 million cost increase is simply unacceptable. This project is not
in the public good. Tell the Public Service Board that a 40% cost increase justifies a new evaluation of the permit: sign the petition here.
"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was." - Molly Ivins 1944-2007
