'ASS, MEET FACE'

Michael Colby, true to form, has a few choice words to say about the undemocratic DNC and the oh-so-important Vermont bloggers who are having the time of their lives in Denver.
It’s going to be a long week if you think democracy is happening in Denver. It’s as staged as staged can possibly be. In the end, it will be nothing short of the most massive, unending documentation of nothing other than the coronation of Barack Obama that democracy has seen since – oh – the most massive, unending documentation of nothing other than the coronation of John Kerry. But America loves spectacles as much as it loves suckers. And, together, it makes a convention.

  1. Hey Jay -- Thanks for the plug.

Tonight is Nader's big night to crash the Dem party. Hmmm, I wonder if the navel-gazing bloggers (or mainstream media, for that matter) will bother to cover it? Don't hold your breath.

It is, indeed, more than a bit frightening to see these well-heeled Dems yammer on about "justice" and "equality" from their shiny podium while all but spitting at those actually fighting for it outside the iron gates.

Thanks for keeping it real, my friend.

  2. I'm so glad the McKinney and Sheehan participated in protests outside of the carnival...er...convention. We need more voices pushing our political discourse in the direction of sanity.
