Brideshead Remade

There's a new film version of Brideshead Revisited that's just been completed. Yeah, I can imagine Michael Gambon in the role played by Olivier, but for the life of me, cannot picture Emma Thompson as Lady Marchmain. Ben Whishaw may be delicious, but Anthony Andrews is Sebastian. (Jude Law was originally cast.) The original television production is incomparable, so why the remake? Even if the directors of the new adaptation want to honor the 1981 version, I say leave it the hell alone.
