An Evening with Cynthia McKinney in Burlington

More Green news... Mark your calendars -The Green Party of Vermont has organised an evening with former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney to take place on Thursday, August 23rd at 7:00 P.M. at Contois Auditorium, City Hall, in Burlington-

McKinney made history when she became the first African American woman to represent Georgia in the United States House of Representatives in 1992. McKinney will be visiting Burlington to speak about voter disenfranchisement, the Iraq War, Impeachment and her plans for 2008.

Followed by Q&A from the audience. Free and open to the public. Please Download a (pdf) poster, make copies and put them up in your local hang-outs around the state! Thanks!

  2. A fundraising reception for McKinney will be held at 884 S. Prospect Street in Burlington from 5:30-6:30 P.M. before the event with a required minimum donation of $25.
