The
Free Press has an
editorial today about
Vermont Interfaith Action's inspired
proposal to the
University of Vermont to build affordable housing for its staff. On one thing they agree: keep students on campus to free up rental housing downtown. But true to the BFP's consumerist tendencies, it's all about marketing to parents to send their darling children to UVM so they can enjoy the boondoggle monstrosity of a student life centre. Scant attention to a socially repsonsible mission.
