Vermont: Happy Marriage Equality Day

    Wow... Great speech.

    The eggs part was very poignant and tied in beautifully with his conclusion.

    Thank you, JayV for posting this and thank you, Jason Lorber for being brave enough to speak of something that should never have been (and should not be) an issue in the first place.

    Actually, etiquette dictates you should never say "congratulations" to the bride. Not as bad as crocodile tears on the house floor, but close.

    Social etiquette also dictates that we only wear white from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but who follows that rigid protocol anymore? :-P

    The use of "Congratulations" I'll leave up to a query to Miss Manners column or the next edition of Emily Post. Things have changed, it's a paradigm shift going on. Let the LBGT wannabe married folks established their own way of doing these things; we certainly don't have to follow the cues from the hetero world, do we?
