UBI CARITAS ET AMOR, DEUS IBI EST

THE Archbishop of Canterbury has called for mutual generosity among Anglican bishops.

Such use of euphemisms at Lambeth! 'Mutual generosity' is just one of them that drives me crazy. Why not just follow the teachings of Jesus, 'Love one another as I have loved you'?

I recall the homily last Sunday at St Paul's in Burlington, in which Stan Baker, the preacher, said (changing slightly one of the readings appointed for the day)
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor Anglican bishops, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
